“問渠那得清如許，為有源頭活水來。”黨的十八大以來，習近平總書記對教育事業特别是培養社會主義建設者和接班人工作高度重視，多次到托兒所、幼兒園、小學、中學、職業學校、高等學校考察并同師生們座談，給一些小學生、中學生、大學生和教師回信，主持中央政治局常委會會議、中央政治局會議、中央全面深化改革領導小組和中央全面深化改革委員會會議等，審議通過一系列涉及教育改革發展的方案，對推進教育改革發展提出了一系列重要論斷。2018年9月10日，中共中央召開新時代第一次全國教育大會，習近平總書記發表重要講話，系統總結和深刻闡述了中國教育改革發展實踐中形成的新理念新思想新觀點。這次大會對中國教育改革發展具有裡程碑意義，開啟了加快教育現代化、建設教育強國、辦好人民滿意教育的新征程。
“What keeps a pond as clear as a mirrored sky? The fount is where its waters never run dry.”Following the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited many nurseries, kindergartens, elementary schools, secondary schools, technical and vocational institutes, and higher education institutions to convey the great importance that he attached to education, and to emphasize the need to nurture new generations to carry on the socialist cause.He held forums with educational institutions and replied to letters from students and teachers on this subject. He presided over a series of meetings with the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Central Leading Group for Deepening Reform, and the Central Commission for Deepening Reform, which deliberated and adopted a catalogue of programs in the field of education, and put forward major proposals on education reform and development. The CPC Central Committee then hosted the first National Education Conference in the new era on September 10, 2018. In his keynote speech, General Secretary Xi expounded on the fresh ideas, perspectives, and concepts derived from the country’s education reform and development. The conference celebrated a milestone in education reform in China, and launched a new drive to accelerate education modernization, make the country an educational powerhouse, and ensure that education meets the expectations of the people.
